The Raceday Stewards interviewed L.F. Roche, rider of Unidos (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that L. F. Roche was in breach of Regulation 10.3.h (arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended L. F. Roche for two racedays.

R. Whearty, rider of Smoke Them Out, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shamalza, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a nasal discharge post race.

M.W Hassett, rider of Senna's Girl, trained by Diego Dias, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Super Exceed, trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R. Whearty, rider of Tofino, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of La Tulipe Noire, trained by Aengus King, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running.

W.J. Lee, rider of State Actor, trained by W.T. Farrell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The IHRB Veterinary Officer subsequently examined State Actor and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Grey Leader, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was denied a clear run.

R. Whearty, rider of Earls, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room twice.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Lady Lilac, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get much luck in running.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Speckled Meadow, trained by Don Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled or picked up.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Earls, ridden by R. Whearty, unplaced, Great Mover, ridden by Megan Telford-Kelly, placed fifth, and Chica Guerrera, ridden by Reese Holohan, placed third, where it appeared Earls ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. Whearty stated that the horse in front of him came across and he had to check. Megan Telford-Kelly stated that she thought she was clear and felt she had kept straight. Reese Holohan stated that he tried to maintain his line but the horse in front moved across him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Megan Telford-Kelly was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly, and having considered her record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Megan Telford-Kelly for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards approved a request from the IHRB Clerk of the Course to amend the distance of this race to 2 miles 111 yards due to operational reasons

Nicola Burns, rider of Bottler'secret, trained by Aidan Melia, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount jumped awkwardly from the stalls.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Duraji, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very keen throughout.

W.J. Lee, rider of Enfranchise, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Two For Joy, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

342G Guinness 0.0 Finale Stakes

The Raceday Stewards received a request from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Starford, to substitute the nominated rider M.W Hassett with D. Browne McMonagle. Evidence was heard from Damien Byrne, Authorised Representative for the trainer concerned who stated that M. W. Hassett was declared on Starford to assist in his bid for the apprentice title which was now secured and he further added that D. Browne McMonagle was at Del Mar but had arrived back in time to take up the mount. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards denied the request as the request was neither timely nor valid.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Starford, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
